Position Overview
Toy Factory Productions is seeking a motivated and strategic individual to join the Marketing team as Assistant Marketing Manager.
This role offers the opportunity to take on a leadership position within a fast-paced arts organisation, working across an exciting year-round slate of productions. The Assistant Marketing Manager will play a key role in shaping marketing strategy, guiding execution, and ensuring cohesive, impactful communications across all platforms, while collaborating closely with a dynamic and close-knitted team.
The Assistant Marketing Manager reports directly to the General Manager and leads the Marketing Team.
In this role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of integrated marketing and publicity campaigns, ensure timelines and deliverables are met, and uphold the effectiveness and consistency of all marketing efforts. You will also manage relationships with donors, partners, and key stakeholders ensuring clear, professional, and aligned communications.
Beyond marketing strategy and execution, the Assistant Marketing Manager will support productions on the ground when required, contributing to operational and administrative functions that ensure smooth delivery across the company's activities.
Job Scope:
- Lead the planning, development and execution of integrated marketing and publicity strategies across all productions and company initiatives.
- Oversee the Marketing Team, providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure timely and effective campaign delivery.
- Translate production objectives into clear marketing strategies, campaign timelines, and communication plans.
- Review, refine, and approve marketing proposals, content plans, and publicity angles developed by the team.
- Ensure all marketing campaigns are executed consistently, professionally, and in alignment with the company's branding and positioning.
- Monitor campaign's performance, audience engagement, and outreach effectiveness, and adjust strategies where necessary.
- Manage and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, partners, and key stakeholders, ensuring clear and aligned communications.
- Work closely with publicity agencies, media partners, and external vendors to maximise coverage and promotional opportunities.
- Oversee the development of press materials, publicity strategies, and key messaging for productions.
- Coordinate with Producers, Directors and internal departments to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with production schedules and priorities.
- Support productions on the ground when required, ensuring marketing and publicity efforts are smoothly executed during rehearsals, launches, and show periods.
- Handle administrative and operational matters related to marketing campaigns, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
- Undertake other duties assigned by the General Manager or Director to support the overall objectives of the company.
Requirements:
- Able to commit for a minimum of 1 year.
- Have at least 2-3 years experience in a similar role, have a degree in Marketing and Communications, or Arts Management.
- Demonstrated experience in marketing, communications, publicity, or related fields, preferably within the arts, cultural or creative sectors.
- Strong understanding of marketing strategy, campaign planning, and execution across digital and traditional platforms.
- Proven ability to lead, coordinate, and guide a team, while remaining hands-on when required.
- Experience managing multiple campaigns, timelines, and stakeholders concurrently in a face-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational, project management, and prioritisation skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft clear, strategic, and audience-focused messaging.
- Ability to engage professionally with donors, sponsors, partners, media and external stakeholders.
- Comfortable working under pressure, adapting to changing priorities, and meeting tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated, solutions-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong interest in and working knowledge of the arts and theatre landscape in Singapore.
- Being bilingual in English and Chinese (written and spoken) is required.
- Basic working knowledge in design, editing and content tools (e.g.: Canva, Capcut) is an advantage.
