Job Summary: The Unsecured/Secured Recovery Manager will be responsible for planning, supervising, and overseeing the recovery of Unsecured/Secured loans. This role involves monitoring overdue accounts, negotiating settlement, implementing effective management and execution of the loan recovery process, maximizing operational efficiency, and minimizing non-performing loans (NPLs) while optimizing recovery efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Unsecured/Secured Recovery Planning & Supervision:
- Develop and implement strategies for the recovery of Unsecured/Secured loans.
- Supervise daily recovery operations and ensure efficient management of recovery processes.
- Oversee the management of all loan recovery efforts to achieve organizational goals.
Operational Efficiency:
- Work towards achieving maximum efficiency in the recovery process to meet team objectives.
- Ensure smooth daily operations while maintaining the recovery team's productivity.
Delinquency & NPL Management:
- Review daily delinquency reports and recovery performance.
- Identify areas of concern and take corrective actions to minimize Non-Performing Loans (NPLs).
- Strive to reduce loan write-offs by optimizing recovery strategies.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Provide accurate and timely statistics and reports on loan recovery progress to management (daily, monthly, and ad-hoc reports).
- Identify early warning signs of potential defaults and take proactive measures
- Provide insights and recommendations through post mortem reviews to management .
- Analyse recovery performance and identify trends or opportunities for improvement.
Collaboration & Liaison:
- Work closely with Business Units to address collection issues and improve account recovery outcomes.
- Liaise with relevant departments to ensure consistent communication regarding recovery targets and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in loan recovery, collections, or credit management
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet recovery targets.
Skills:
- Knowledge of loan recovery and delinquency management processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for reporting and analysis.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Leadership and team management skills.
