Job Description

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) trains doctors who put patients at the centre of their exemplary care. The School, which offers both undergraduate and graduate programmes, is named after local philanthropist Tan Sri Dato Lee Kong Chian. Established in 2010 by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in partnership with Imperial College London, LKCMedicine aims to be a model for innovative medical education and a centre for transformative research. The School's primary clinical partner is the National Healthcare Group, a leader in public healthcare recognised for the quality of its medical expertise, facilities and teaching. The School is transitioning to an NTU medical school ahead of the 2028 successful conclusion of the NTU-Imperial partnership to set up a Joint Medical School. In August 2024, we welcomed our first intake of the NTU MBBS programme, that has been recently enhanced to include themes like precision medicine and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare, with an expanded scope in the medical humanities. Graduates from the five-year undergraduate medical degree programme will have a strong understanding of the scientific basis of medicine, with an emphasis on technology, data science and the humanities.

This position plays a key role in supporting the Finance Business Partner and works closely with respective stakeholders on forecasting, budgeting, analysis and reporting activities, manages the school's financial closure activities leading to the completion of annual audited financial statements, manages the Endowment Fund reporting and collaborates with NTU / LKCMedicine Advancement Office on Donors reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Periodic financial and management reporting.

  • Liaise with external auditors and manage auditors request for audit schedules / samples / documentation during audit fieldwork.

  • Review of Fund Centre Reports and highlight any irregularity / inconsistency with the FP&A Team.

  • Provide adhoc / periodic fund activities report to Donors.

  • Support the coordination of revised estimates and budget inputs from respective stakeholders to develop annual operating budgets and evaluate short-term and long-term funding requirements.

  • Monitor budget to actual results and provide insightful variance analysis of significant deviations to identify any financial risk and opportunity.

  • Stakeholders management / engagement.

  • Continuous process improvement on financial and management reporting.

Requirements:

  • A degree from a recognized university in Accountancy or Professional accounting qualifications.

  • Understanding of accounting principles and clear knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including V-lookup, Pivot Table etc.) and knowledge of SAP financial system will be an added advantage.

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, particularly in the areas of compliance and customer engagement skills.

  • Numerically inclined, meticulous, proactive, with good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Good time management, able to multi-task and meet tight reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Able to work independently, perform under pressure and work effectively as a team.
