Our client, a Japanese-listed, high-quality Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company, is currently seeking an Assistant Manager (Piping). This role is responsible for overseeing the quality, compliance, and progress of piping engineering projects while providing technical guidance and support.
You will report directly to the Department Manager of Piping.
What you will be doing
- Examine the MTO, BQ, 3D models, engineering-prepared information, piping layout, and other project deliverables.
- Assure adherence to approved engineering and construction techniques, contract requirements, quality standards, applicable codes, and project standards.
- Help with organizing and planning the project's manpower needs and piping engineering activities.
- Create training materials, manuals, instructions, and departmental processes.
- Hold training sessions.
- At construction sites, offer field engineering assistance and guidance for the installation and testing of pipes.
- Carry out additional duties as directed by the supervisor.
What they are looking for
(Must)
- Fluent in English and Mandarin in order to communicate with counterparts.
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering-related field (BS Engineering).
- Minimum 15 years of experience in piping design, including:Detailed design, stress evaluation, production work, 3D model review, material specification, and construction engineering support.
- Proficient in Caesar II software.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Basic knowledge of 3D model review using tools such as Navisworks or SmartPlant Review.
(Advantageous)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
- Experience in interpreting stress/vibration analysis reports.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts in piping calculations, including exponents, logarithms, trigonometric functions, quadratic equations, and other relevant formulas.
- Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
