About the Role
The Assistant Manager for Organisation Development (OD) shall support the Chief, People & Organisation Development, and the Lead for Organisation Development, as part of the OD team, to: Build and sustain an organisational culture that is grounded on trusting relationships, with engagement, enablement and empowerment across different levels of the system to collaborate and co-create better care and a better workplace for the WH family; Develop, implement, improve and reinforce strategies, structures and processes to support the WH vision, culture and key priorities. Build a resilient, change ready WH with capacity and organisational capabilities to be responsive to evolving healthcare landscape, care models, environmental challenges and opportunities and achieve greater effectiveness.
Responsibilities
OD Interventions
- Provide support to OD assignments, engagement and interventions;
- Support the OD Consulting Process (from contracting to designing and executing of interventions, to evaluation as required), work closely with stakeholders to understand the challenge/priority on hand, clarify their purpose and motivation, so that they are better able to achieve desired outcomes;
- Co-lead and co-develop the evaluation process of the programme/intervention. Conduct data analysis and interpret the findings with the relevant parties. Able to reference past data and trends from multiple sources to inform course of action;
- Support clients in the sense making of their data and translate it to action-planning. Demonstrate good understanding of how your client's system works;
- Support the design and co-facilitate interventions with the understanding of action research and group dynamics theories.
Team Coaching
- Build and sustain effective, high performing teams in WH;
- Co-facilitate in team coaching assignments. When working with teams, able to:
- Identify and name both the healthy and unhealthy dynamics within a group;
- Create safe environments in which all group members may contribute their voice.
Capacity and Capability Building
- Contribute to capacity and capability building of WH to be able to handle change and improvement as an organisation.
Change Management
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Change Management projects at organisation level with a line in sight to the organisation vision, goals, Model of Care and desired culture;
- Design/co-design a plan to effectively support the acceptance and adoption of small-scale change and transitions. Have deep understanding of change theories and processes (including the psychological impact of change);
- Identify and surface upstream or downstream change issues or resistances to be dealt with;
- Co-lead in Change Management Projects that may involve different levels of the organisation, to insure alignment of project communications with the overall strategy and plan.
General
- Work with the OD team, P&OD team to contribute to cross-cutting projects and organisation wide projects;
- Other assignments and projects as assigned by Chief, People & Organisation Development in support of organisation wide initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in organizational behaviour, psychology, social work, sociology, communications or other related disciplines;
- Preferably have at least 2-3 years of related experience in healthcare &/or organisation development capacity
Required Skills
- Certificates in established OD programmes will be an added advantage;
- Previous background and experience (internship) in healthcare will be an added advantage;
- Strong interest and confident in project management;
- Previous experience in data management (e.g. surveys etc)
