Skinny's Lounge is a fun, casual, high-energy bar and we take pride in efficient operations and execution. We're looking for a Bar/Floor Assistant Manager who can lead day-to-day bar and floor operations during late-night shifts and keep the team performing at a high level. You'll take ownership of service flow, shift leadership, beverage quality and speed, stock control, team performance, and operational readiness, while working closely with senior management to ensure smooth operations from open to close. This is a five-day work week role, with transport provided after late shifts.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage all bar/floor operational matters and take charge of the team on shift
- Ensure the bar/floor is organised, set up, stocked, clean, and fully ready for operations
- Maintain beverage quality, consistency, speed, and adherence to company specifications and SOPs
- Manage station assignments, workflow, and service priorities during peak periods
- Take ownership of shift leadership, team discipline, and operational standards
- Handle guest complaints, feedback, and service recovery in a calm and professional manner
- Support rostering, shift planning, daily briefings, reporting, and handovers with management
- Oversee inventory counts, par levels, ordering, stock rotation, and wastage control
- Ensure compliance with licensing requirements, hygiene standards, safety procedures, cash handling, and opening/closing procedures
- Lead training, coaching, and onboarding of new team members across service, product knowledge, and SOPs
- Instil a healthy culture and positive communication - set the tone and standard on shift
- Create an awesome guest experience through strong hospitality, leadership presence, and operational control
