Assistant Manager, Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

Resorts World Sentosa is looking for an Assistant Manager, Mechanical Engineer to join the team to lead the reliability, safety, and engineering performance of rides and show equipment at Universal Studios Singapore. It oversees troubleshooting, maintenance strategies, and ride enhancement projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards while partnering with OEMs and technical teams to maintain optimal operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering validation, reliability centered maintenance analysis & configuration control of all amusement rides/show equipment

• Lead installation, key troubleshooting efforts and reliability improvements of amusement ride and show equipment, including mechanical components, structures, pneumatics, hydraulics, gas, etc

• Oversee major ride enhancement projects. From scope development to final approvals. Project Management experience will be an advantage.

• Support in development of effective maintenance regime to ensure the safety and reliability of ride and show attractions in the theme park.

• Responsible for testing of rides and shows to ensure compliance with requirements of local and overseas regulatory bodies.

• Prepare engineering reports and engineering drawings through use of CAD software (AutoCad/Solidworks) and mechanical analysis for effective evaluation of ride's safety & reliability

• Main point of contact with OEMs for Safety & Reliability of Ride and Show

• Perform critical inspection and condition survey tasks to supplement routine scheduled inspections (by others)

• Support Engineering Change Process and Review of Service bulletins.

• Understand amusement ride safety regulations set by Building and Construction Authority (BCA)

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Oil & Gas industry

Required Skills

• Proficiency in engineering analysis and use of 3D CAD tools - Autocad/Solidworks

• Prior experience of fabrication, machining and welding is an advantage

• Able to perform shifts including weekends & public holidays

• Applicant must be able to work at height and willing to take the rides from time to time to conduct quality checks for the rides

• Ability to work with diverse group of technical team members
