Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on and self-motivated finance professional to take full ownership of our finance function. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive and working closely with the Honorary Treasurer, you will play a key role in managing the end-to-end finance and accounting operations of the association. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is experienced in financial management, financial reporting, risk management, good in strategic thinking and communication, as well as independent, meticulous and proactive in identifying improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end finance operations, including month-end closing and accurate financial reporting
  • Maintain accounting records, transactions, and documentation
  • Prepare financial statements, management reports, and support budgeting and forecasting
  • Ensure compliance with tax requirements, manage annual audits and adhere to regulations
  • Advise senior management on financial strategies, risks and cost-optimisation opportunities
  • Manage relationships with key financial stakeholders
  • Handle payroll and staff claims
  • Coordinate IT processes with vendors for onboarding/offboarding and regular maintenance
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the association's operations

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail, with good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritise tasks independently
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable working autonomously and taking initiative
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Online) and Microsoft Excel
  • Minimum Diploma in Accounting or related field
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Candidates with multiple skillsets and interests beyond finance will have an advantage
