About The Role
The Assistant Manager/Manager, Finance supports the organisation via an efficient and robust financial system, which enables management and staff of Pro Bono SG (PBSG) to have timely and accurate information for informed decisions. The role entails working collaboratively and closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, internal and external auditors, grantors and donors, PBSG's Sub-Committees and the Board.
Key Responsibilities
1. Month-end closing, supervision, and approval of work of finance staff.
2. Completion of financial reporting to Management, AuditCommittee, Finance Committee, and the Board, as required, including:
- preparation of annual budget,
- annual financial statements, and
- monthly financial review, and projections.
3. Liaison with and preparation of financial information for internal and external auditors.
4. Support grant claims and reporting to external agencies, such as government agencies, grant givers and donors.
5. Support reporting to regulatory agencies.
6. Working with other departments on projects such as fundraising events.
7. Monitor and perform cash flow projection for operations.
8. Accounting for funds and reserves movements in accordance with SOPs and regulations.
9. Monitor, review and update relevant financial controls and internal protocols for compliance and efficiency.
10. To perform such duties as may be designated by the CEO and HOD from time to time.
Requisite Educational Qualifications
Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
Skills & Experience
1. At least 5 (3 for Assistant Manager) years of experience in a similar capacity.
2. Experience in using Xero and/or other ERP solutions preferred.
3. Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
4. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
5. For Manager level: experience managing programmes independently and/or guiding junior staff.
6. Proficiency in AI applications preferred.
