Adaro International (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (the Company) serves as the Group's marketing and trading arm, responsible for the marketing of thermal and metallurgical coal, as well as the trading of third-party coal.
We are looking for a highly capable and hands-on Assistant Manager - Finance & Accounting to support the finance leadership team in managing financial reporting, compliance, taxation, and business analysis activities. The ideal candidate should possess strong audit experience, excellent analytical capabilities, and advanced technical skills in financial systems and reporting tools.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant working experience, including prior experience in an audit firm.
- Candidates must currently hold or previously held at least an Assistant Manager position.
- Strong understanding of Singapore financial regulations and Singapore tax requirements.
- Proven experience in designing and preparing financial reporting packages for management and stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and internal controls.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, dashboards, and financial modelling.
- Good working knowledge of Power BI and other Microsoft Office applications.
- High level of computer literacy and familiarity with ERP/accounting systems would be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management reporting packages.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial closing activities.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes.
- Oversee compliance with Singapore tax regulations, including GST and corporate tax matters.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.
- Strengthen internal controls and improve finance processes and reporting efficiency.
- Develop dashboards and automation tools using Excel and Power BI to support business decision-making.
- Support finance transformation and system improvement initiatives.
- Assist Finance Director in strategic finance and operational matters.
