The Business Leaders Group (BLG) drives Business China's engagement with Prominent Business Leaders (PBLs), Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Business Leaders within Business China's network across Singapore and China.
BLG oversees the annual flagship programme - Advanced Leaders Programme (ALP), an apex programme for the senior business executives, next generation of business leaders and senior public officers. In addition, BLG leads Business China's major fundraising initiatives, including the annual Business China Fundraising Golf Tournament and Gala Dinner, which brings together key donors, corporate partners, and distinguished leaders from both Singapore and China.
This role brings opportunities to engage with an exceptional network of leaders across various industries, including financial, investment, supply chain, advanced manufacturing,AI,biotech, and other emerging sectors. You will be involved in the planning and execution of high-level stakeholder engagement initiatives, leadership programmes, and key fundraising efforts that support Business China's mission and long-term development.
Job Description
1. Support the planning and execution of the ALP and ALP Alumni Programmes, including marketing and recruitment efforts, corporate outreach, programme administration and overseas immersion logistical arrangements.
2. Support and execute fund raising initiatives amongst the Business China's networks, including donor cultivation and engagement.
3. Support the production of high-quality communication materials such as invitation letters, programme briefs, pre & post event publicity materials, stakeholder updates, and social media content in both English and Mandarin where require
4. Support BLG team's efforts in identifying, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with Prominent Business Leaders (PBLs), key opinion leaders (KOLs) with significant economic interests in both China and Singapore, and the region.
5. Maintain accurate and well-organised stakeholder databases and records. Leverage appropriate technology platform and system to ensure data is properly updated.
6. Any other duties, tasks or responsibilities assigned to support team and organisational objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements
1. Preferably bilingual proficiency in both English and Mandarin.
2. Self-started with strong learning ability and good aptitude, and able to work both independently and collaboratively as a team player.
3. Any Bachelor's Degree or Higher Degree.
4. Prior working experience in public speaking at major events/meetings, interactions with relevant stakeholders and/or events management.
5. Strong Interest in China and China-related business environments and Chinese social media platforms (e.g. WeChat, Xiaohongshu etc) will be an advantage .
6. Prior knowledge about China is not a pre-requisite, but good to have.
7. Possess strong stakeholder management capabilities and project management skills
8. This is an individual contributor role although you may potentially lead project teams.
