Assistant Manager, Credit Solutions

What the day will look like

Reporting to Head of Department, job scope includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Help deliver team budget including goals of growth, profitability & increasing market share.
  • Help to structure new and renewal Trade Credit, Political Risk and Surety Insurance policies & programmes.
  • Identifying opportunities, challenges and solutions to deliver added-value to clients.
  • Handle broking and placement of products to the insurance market.
  • Managing a portfolio of clients (including training and providing advice), including complicated multinational global programmes and bank clients as well as liaising cross-border with clients, insurers and Aon network.
  • Delivering a consistently high and reliable service standard.
  • Provide advice regarding trade credit risks & insurance.
  • Negotiate and manage communications with clients and underwriters.
  • Building of successful long-term business relationships.
  • Take responsibility for one or more team or corporate initiatives/projects.
  • Provide monthly revenue forecasts & reports for own portfolio.
  • Support other team members as back up for specified policies.
  • Responsible for account projects and/or reporting/analytics as required.
  • Support team as required for any tasks as allocated
  • Ensure compliance of Non-Negotiables including but not limited to accurate & timely maintenance of systems, billings and data entry reporting & forecasting time recording etc.
  • Ensuring self-compliance with all MAS & Aon's mandated processes & standards.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Minimum 1 to 5 years relevant experience with experience in insurance/trade credit highly preferred
  • Degree in Banking/Finance/Insurance with understanding of the industry
  • Understanding and experience of general corporate business in Singapore &/or multinational environment
  • In-depth knowledge of current digital trends
  • Experience in digital marketing, or a related field
  • Experience with SEO and SEM strategy and keyword research
  • Understanding of website analytics tools, such as Google Analytics
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English additional languages will be added advantage
  • Possess excellent oral, written, interpersonal, presentation and marketing skills
  • Attention to detail, pro-active and results orientated
  • Possess strong negotiation skills
  • Possess good analytical mind with strong business acumen
  • Ability to develop and maintain business relationships
  • Willing to work hard to deliver results
  • Be highly reliable, adaptable to changes and a good team player
