Job Description

Highlight:

Our client is an established corporate finance house with a long-standing reputation. An expert in the small-medium enterprise space across various disciplines - IPOs, corporate advisory for listed companies, Catalist sponsorship, underwriting and share placement, fund raising, mergers and acquisition, equity research, and fund management.

The successful candidate will be part of a growing and dynamic team managing a portfolio of client companies.

The primary responsibility of the individual will be to support Partners and Managers in advising client companies on regulatory compliance and corporate governance. The role also encompasses building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, supporting the Head of Department in business development, contributing to strategic initiatives within the department and the firm, and eventually leading and mentoring junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Stakeholder Management

  • Support Partners and Managers in originating new mandates and building and maintaining client and other stakeholder relationships
  • Assist in developing pitch ideas, sector insights, and tailored client proposals
  • Coordinate and work closely with professionals such as financial advisors, legal advisors, auditors, valuers, company secretaries, share registrars on delivering high-quality advisory services and transaction execution
  • Maintain an excellent relationship with the regulators through close and regular dialogues to drive resolution of issues
  • Participate actively in meetings and calls with clients and other stakeholders, as well as presentations internally and externally

Compliance Advisory & Transaction Execution

  • Provide quality advice, with the guidance of Partners and Managers, to client companies directors and management on continuing listing obligations and corporate governance matters
  • Conduct compliance review of corporate actions carried out by client companies, including shareholder circulars, public announcements and press releases
  • Drive regulatory applications to regulators and address regulators queries and requests satisfactorily and in a timely manner
  • Prepare regulatory updates for circulation and presentation to clients
  • Prepare/maintain documentation, compliance papers for internal committee approvals and application/consultation letters to the Singapore Exchange
  • Monitor daily share price and media reports of clients

Internal Coordination & Ownership

  • Take ownership of timelines, deliverables, and quality control in a lean team setting
  • Ensure transactions comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Lead and mentor junior members in the team and contribute to team development initiatives
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Coordinate with internal departments on internal projects
  • Carry out ad-hoc tasks/projects as requested by Partners and Managers


Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Accountancy/Business/Finance with at least 4 years of relevant working experience in Catalist Sponsorship, corporate finance, external audit or a related field
  • Commercially minded with strong client-facing capabilities, including confidence in engaging senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail, ownership mentality, and strong execution discipline
  • Proactive, self-driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong professional ethics and confidentiality
