Job Description

A) Job Description

The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including preparation of full sets of accounts, monthly reports, annual budgets, and tax filings. The role also involves liaising with auditors, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, supervising the finance team, and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.

i) Oversee and review the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payments &receipts, and general ledger activities

ii) Prepare, review, and deliver complete sets of financial statements in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder reporting needs.

iii) Prepare and review tax filings, including GST returns, in accordance with statutory requirements

iv) Assistin yearly audit and tax filing processes

v) Identify process flow for improvements and assist in the implementation of recommendations

vi) Ensure adherence to financial policies, regulations, and reporting standards

vii) Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and resolve any discrepancies or issues

viii) Supervise the finance team, providing guidance and coaching

ix) Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the finance department

x) Ad-hoc projects and other job duties which may be assigned from time to time.

B) Job Requirement

i) Diploma in Accountancy or higher

ii) Minimum 5 years of working experience in a similar role and preferably with supervisory experience

iii) Proven experience in finance or accounting roles, with a focus on financial analysis, reporting

iv) Sound knowledge of internal controls, of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, corporate tax and GST rules

v) Good in analytical skills and able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders

vi) Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment

vii) Proficient in Microsoft Office

viii) Candidates with MYOB experience will be an advantage
