Perform and support the Manager/Director in all aspects of vessel activities to ensure profitability, efficient employment of managed/operated vessels and time charter-in tonnage.
Timely monitoring of vessel positioning, movement and cargo loading / discharging processes for effective planning.
Negotiation of Charter, Demurrage rates and lay time as per contract terms
Support team in promoting business activities and management of client relationship to resolve all potential problems and issues.
Calculate voyage estimates and assist with budgeting and preparation of commercial tenders.
Assist to monitor market conditions and industry rates.
Chartering of tugs/barges/offshore tonnage and other vessels for both owned and principal's tonnage.
Work with Agency and Operation department on all aspects of joint projects.
Plan and organize resources for all turnkey projects.
Prepare relevant documents and contracts upon securing job and liaise in negotiation of contracts.
Assist in planning and organising operational issues as required.
Maintaining good working relationship with charterers and brokers to build long-term working relationship.
Implement marketing and chartering strategies.
Evaluate shipbroker services, coverings and policy for charter-in sales and purchases.
Assist to prepare accurate and timely reports to the management.
Backup for Cargo Operations and/or Claims (Post Fixture) time to time as required.
Ensure conformity of processes and documentation with Company and industry standards.
Undertake ad-hoc projects and tasks as and when required by the Management.
Job Requirements
Tertiary Qualification in Marine related discipline preferred.
1 year experience in Post Fixture of Chartering preferred. Candidates with no prior experience can be considered.
Meticulous with numbers, able to perform simple analysis and ability to anticipate potential issues and good problem-solving skills.
Committed and able to work at odd hours as required.
