RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Overview:

The Assistant Accountant will support the AP and AR functions of the agency, ensuring accurate reporting and payments. This role requires someone with an attention to detail and a commitment to social service.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation (AP, AR and GL)
• Perform accounts reconciliation to resolve discrepancies
• Manage and monitor cash flows statements
• Prepare financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) and assist in budgeting exercises
• Participate in financial audit
• Review and implement financial policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations (e.g GST, Charity Accounting Standards, etc)
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on matters pertaining to audit, grants and financial reporting
• Other ad hoc duties as assigned from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma / Degree in Accountancy
• 3 - 5 years of working experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable
• Good time management and comfortable to work in fast-paced environment
• Experience in using an accounting system and MS Excel
• Attention to detail and able to work under pressure
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
