Procurement Buyer

Job Description:

• Source new vendors to enhance supply chain capabilities and vendor diversity
• Conduct vendor qualification audits and collaborate with the Quality department to select reliable suppliers
• Confirm parts specifications during sourcing and new parts selection to ensure compliance with requirements
• Perform cost analysis on main and alternative parts to develop optimal procurement strategies
• Negotiate pricing and contract terms with suppliers to achieve cost efficiency and support cost reduction initiatives
• Request and evaluate quotations (RFQs) for new parts based on the Bill of Materials (BOM) list
• Execute other ad-hoc duties as assigned to support procurement and supply chain functions

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain or preferably in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic & Mechanical)
• At least 2 years of experience in the MNC manufacturing industry
• Experience managing global suppliers and overseas parts is advantageous
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel and data analysis
• Understanding of MRP systems and experience with Oracle is a plus
• Willingness to perform overtime
