The Aspire/CareNights Supervisor supports the Assistant Manager in overseeing the Aspire/CareNights programme. He/she is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and ensuring smooth execution of programme.
The incumbent is expected to work within the programme operating hours on weekdays and on Saturdays when required. He/she is largely expected to work in an indoor environment, although he/she is required to travel to and from various Aspire/CareNights centres, or out of organisation's premises to attend conferences, trainings, and other events or meetings.
Key responsibility areas
Aspire/CareNights Operation and Management
- Determine staffing and other manpower-related needs for all Aspire/CareNights centres
- Organise and implement events for the children and their families
- Ensure the delivery of the planned curriculum is always consistent in all centres
- Manage and report incidents at the Aspire/CareNights centres in a timely and professional manner
- Work with Mentors to support the children in their social emotional development
- Partner with parents and schools to monitor children's social emotional development and challenges
- Conduct risk assessment for Aspire/CareNights centres to always uphold safety
- Participate in advocacy activities of the Aspire/CareNights programme and the organization
Supervisor Role
- Coach Aspire/CareNights Mentors on child management skills and strategies
- Assist and support centres manpower deployment, including operational needs
- Orientate, develop and establish good relationship with Mentors/volunteers and provide constant feedback to always uphold professionalism
- Conduct monthly induction sessions for new volunteers
Curriculum Development and Coaching
- Asist in the planning, designing and reviewing of current and new curriculum.
- Coach Mentors on the delivery and management of the curriculum to engage the children effectively
Stakeholder Management
- Manage and support communications with parents, volunteers and other partners confidently and professionally
- Conduct centre tours to visitors including potential clients, sponsors and volunteers
Administration
- Oversee the administration and operations of Aspire/CareNights centres, including day-to-day activities and enrolment of children
- Support and provide input as per required by AM
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or Special Education preferred
- At least 3 years experience in operational or direct services roles working with children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Experience in the social service sector preferable
