The Opportunity:
The Building Facade sector is a highly specialized and niche field in Singapore, with a steep yet rewarding learning curve. We are not seeking a ready-made Facade Expert. Instead, we are looking for a seasoned engineering professional with a strong foundation in general construction (New Build or A&A), who is ready to apply their mature project and management skills to a new, technology-driven domain.
If you are familiar with the language and practices of Singapore's construction industry, we will provide the necessary technical training to help you bridge the gap and succeed in this field.
Key Responsibilities (Leveraging Your Existing Experience):
- Engineering Governance: Lead and manage the submission process for RFIs, RFAs, Method Statements, and Shop Drawings. Apply your understanding of industry standards to facade systems.
- Project Controls: Take full ownership of the Master Programme and project scheduling, ensuring optimal site sequencing and timely achievement of key milestones.
- Stakeholder Management: Represent the company in professional engagements with MCST, consultants, and architects. Handle site coordination, negotiations, and progress claims with confidence and maturity.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Guide and support a team of graduate engineers, fostering professional discipline, accountability, and strong site management practices.
- Rapid Technical Integration: Within the first 3–6 months, proactively acquire technical knowledge of facade systems (including cladding, curtain walls, and waterproofing) through structured training and hands-on site exposure.
Job Requirements:
- Proven Track Record: At least 5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, building construction, or A&A projects within Singapore.
- Industry Fluency: Strong understanding of Singapore's construction SOPs, BCA and MOM regulations, as well as the practical human aspects of managing subcontractors on-site.
- Mature Professional Mindset: Composed under pressure, results-driven, and able to exercise sound judgment with the professional gravitas to manage complex site situations independently.
