There is now an opportunity for a Credit Risk Manager to play a pivotal part in supporting front‑office activity while shaping credit risk outcomes in a fast-changing, international trading environment.
Role
Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, the credit risk manager is responsible for the assessment and ongoing management of counterparty risk across a diverse portfolio. Working closely with the commercial stakeholders, you will help structure transactions to achieve optimal credit outcomes while remaining commercially viable. In support of trading activities, the credit risk team will also produce meaningful credit assessments and rating, along with credit limits setting and recommendation. The role also involves active monitoring of current and potential exposures using AI‑enabled tools, as well as providing succinct commentaries to senior stakeholders. Collaboration is key to the success of the role, with regular interaction across legal, operations, treasury, and the wider global credit team.
Requirements
The successful candidate is a degree holder in a finance, business or engineering discipline from a reputable institution, with minimum 10 years credit experience. Those with substantial exposure to physical commodity trading within a trading house or a bank with commodities focus will have a distinct advantage. You will be described as commercially minded, an independent problem solver, as well as one who thrives on business partnering.
