Asia Cluster BPA Head

Job Description Summary

. To lead all Business Planning & Analysis (BPA) activities within the cluster, providing insightful and value-added analysis and decision support to the business leadership.

. Responsible for developing and using financial early warning forecast systems and providing financial and budgetary forecasts of Cluster to the Region for use in short and long-term company financial and budgetary planning, ensuring reporting system interoperability and data integrity and no surprises.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the execution of regional / global strategies as relevant to the Cluster. Deliver core management reporting and financial planning processes to ensure the effective and timely delivery of insightful, recurring or ad-hoc financial information.

• Lead the development of detailed budget and financial forecasts for use in Global and Regional, Cluster planning. Design and maintain early warning systems for financial tracking, ensuring accurate advance warning for all financial results. Evaluation of the Cluster's Risks and Opportunities on P&L (Sales/TFC/MRaSPC), including a latest outlook for the month/quarter/year also identification and implementation of gap closing actions.

• Proactively drive performance and carry out value-added analyses on financial data: Sales trends, Functional Expenses, Other Income and Expenses, Impairment review (if needed), Management Cash Flow, Capital Investments (if applicable), life time costs for projects, NPV etc.

• Support the organization's leadership team with financial analysis (including Risks & Opportunities analysis), cost analysis and control and drive corrective actions. Conduct value added analyses, e.g. Resource Allocation, Profitability analyses, Benchmarking to recommend short and long-term targets and improvement areas.

• Continually improve and streamline existing management reporting processes within the cluster in-line with Global processes and support the definition and implementation of lean processes to meet the changing demands.

• Provide leadership to reporting units in preparing business cases, participating and value adding in key negotiations for large size investments and programs/projects for the domain/sub domains

• Work closely with the country teams and provide feedback/insights and advice formulating business strategies, guide investment and resource allocation, monitoring commitment, implement actions. Involvement in financial evaluation of business proposals or projects from Cluster perspective (e.g., Field Force expansion/reduction, launching of a new product or indication).

• Proactively interface with country CFOs in other Country organisations/Clusters to obtain financial best practices and in-market data results, benchmarking Country results and methods against ones from other markets

• Oversee the management and development of teams of BPA professionals, manage the correct and timely implementation of BPA processes and policies and ensure adherence thereof, & lead or initiate key BPA projects.

• Coach, guide and mentor BPA associate within the country, including upscaling capabilities. Support Cluster CFO with ad-hoc analyses and projects as needed (Footprint changes, legal matters with financial impact, Local manufacturing projects etc.)

Essential Requirements:

• University degree in economics, business, or related field - Advanced degree in business, economics, or related field preferred

• Significant (7-10 years) experience in BPA / FP&A and/or controlling positions

• Experience designing and operating financial reporting and forecasting systems

• Excellent analytical ability

• Strong written and oral communication skills, and ability to clearly present financial data in reports distributed to Regional and Global officers
