Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced AS400 Technical Lead with strong hands-on expertise in IBM AS400/iSeries development, application delivery, UAT, and production support.
Mandatory Skill-set
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in IBM AS400/iSeries development and support
- Strong expertise in RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, CLLE, DB2/400, Query/400, DDS, Subfiles, and Embedded SQL
- Experience in technical analysis, impact assessment, solution design, development, and application enhancements
- Strong experience supporting SIT, UAT, regression testing, production implementation, and defect resolution
- Good knowledge of SDLC, batch processing, job scheduling, system integrations, release management, and production troubleshooting
- Experience with code reviews, technical documentation, deployment planning, and change management/version control.
Desired Skill-set
- Banking, financial services, retail, payments, cards, loans, deposits, or core banking application experience
- Exposure to Control-M/workload automation, DevOps/CI-CD, and modern integration technologies
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end technical delivery of AS400 application enhancements and projects, including impact analysis, estimation, solution design, development, and implementation
- Develop, enhance, troubleshoot, and maintain AS400 applications using RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, CLLE, and DB2/400
- Coordinate SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect resolution, deployment, migration, and post-production verification
- Work closely with business users, PMs, BAs, infrastructure teams, and vendors to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, ensure development quality, and manage technical risks and dependencies
- Investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis, implement permanent fixes, and support scheduled or emergency releases
- Prepare technical documentation, deployment plans, test support materials, and production handover documentation.
