Job purpose
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for managing all sales/profitability of the assigned region, coordinating and monitoring the activities of the Distributors in the area, carrying out corporate initiatives and goals, protecting the integrity of the level of service customers receive, and tracking projects in their area to achieve the commercial development.
Duties and responsibilities
Business related functions
Grow sales and distribution of all the regions affiliated Distributors, pushing company product lines in the area
Identify and onboard new Distributors that align with our company goals and have the capacity to represent our products
Track competitor activity across the region
Manage key customers and local distributors in the area: planning, visits, relationship development
Coordinate with the corporate office to market and co-advertise the brand throughout the region
Create and adhere to a yearly budget as it relates to expenses and revenue
Team management related functions
Manage the Distributors of the locations assigned to this position (Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Maldives, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Mongolia)
Manage the relationship with Distributors and provide customer support throughout the region
Maintain constant communication with Regional Director to support business
Other duties as assigned
Reporting related functions
Manage, monitor and evaluate the results of the Distributors: degree of achievement of the planned goals (billing, overall efficiency, profitability by product, contained commercial segment, exposure outlets, etc.
Manager and ensure Accounts Receivables and collections are under control with the Distributors in the region.
Education and/or work experience
Education
Required: Bachelor's degree in business or related field
Work experience
Required: 5+ years of sales experience, 2+ years of experience in managing distributors.
Preferred: experience in stone industry
Competencies
Knowledege
Required: CRM System, Finance and budgeting
Preferred: Salesforce experience, SAP or other Order Management program
