Position Overview
The Architecture Designer (Permitting Officer) is responsible for creating innovative architectural designs while ensuring compliance with local regulations and facilitating permitting processes through platforms like Corenet and Archi submissions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and proficiency in digital submission systems to streamline project approvals.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Design:

  • Develop creative and functional architectural designs for various project types (residential, commercial, industrial).
  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, and construction teams to ensure designs align with project objectives.
  • Utilize design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp for detailed drawings and visualizations.

Permitting and Compliance:

  • Research and interpret local building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications through Corenet and Archi platforms, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements and address feedback from authorities.

Corenet and Archi Submissions:

  • Manage the end-to-end process of submitting architectural plans and documents via Corenet and Archi submissions platforms.
  • Monitor submission statuses and address queries or revisions requested by regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of platform updates and submission guidelines.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Create detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and reports for submission purposes.
  • Maintain accurate records of all permitting activities, approvals, and correspondence.

Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Act as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies for permitting matters.
  • Coordinate with municipal authorities to address permitting challenges and expedite approvals.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with approved plans and regulations.

Problem Solving:

  • Resolve issues related to permitting or compliance during the design and construction phases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Certification or licensure in architecture is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in architectural design and permitting processes.
  • Proven expertise in Corenet and Archi submissions platforms.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
  • Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp).
  • Advanced knowledge of Corenet and Archi submissions workflows.
  • Strong understanding of zoning laws, environmental regulations, and permitting processes.
