Job Description:
The Architect Associate supports the design, development, and execution of architectural projects from concept to completion. Working under the supervision of a Registered Architect or Senior Architect, the role involves preparing design drawings, coordinating with consultants and contractors, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and assisting in project management tasks.
The Architect Associate plays a key role in translating design concepts into buildable, high-quality solutions that align with the client's objectives and the firm's design philosophy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in concept development, schematic design, design development, and documentation stages.
- Prepare architectural drawings, presentation boards, and 3D visualizations.
- Coordinate with consultants (C&S, M&E, QS) and external stakeholders to ensure design and technical integration.
- Support submission processes to relevant authorities (URA, BCA, FSSD, NEA, PUB, etc.) under the supervision of the Qualified Person (Architect).
- Participate in site meetings, inspections, and ensure design intent is implemented during construction.
- Assist in preparing tender documentation and evaluating submissions.
- Ensure design compliance with local codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Maintain accurate records, drawings, and documentation in line with company and project procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (recognised by the Board of Architects Singapore).
- Experience: 5 years of relevant experience in architectural design or coordination roles.
- Technical Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of local codes and submission procedures (URA, BCA, FSSD, etc.).
Strong understanding of design detailing, materials, and construction methodology. - Soft Skills:
Good design sensitivity and attention to detail.
Strong coordination, communication, and teamwork skills.
Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. - Preferred: Working experience in commercial, institutional, or mixed-use projects familiarity with BIM workflow is an advantage.
