API Gateway Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled API Gateway Engineer with extensive experience in IBM API Connect v10 and IBM DataPower to join our team. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing API Gateway solutions across on premise and cloud environments, with a strong focus on automation, performance and security.

Responsibilities

. Design, implement, and manage API Gateway solutions using IBM API Connect v10 and IBM DataPower.

. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate API publishing tasks using CI/CD tools such as GitHub.

. Conduct installation, patching, and upgrades of IBM API Connect v10, ensuring optimal performance and security.

. Support API Gateway migration projects, applying best practices and industry standards.

. Monitor and troubleshoot API Gateway performance and reliability across on-premises and cloud environments, particularly AWS EKS.

. Maintain comprehensive documentation for API Gateway configurations, processes, and best practices.

. Participate in weekend support for patching, upgrades, and API releases, with the option to take time off in-lieu.

Requirements

. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with API Gateways, specifically IBM API Connect v10.

. Strong experience with IBM DataPower administration, including installation and patch management.

. Proven track record in CI/CD practices and tools, with a focus on automation in API publishing.

. Experience working with AWS (particularly AWS EKS) and hybrid deployment models.

. Knowledge and experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and Kubectl CLI tools.

. Proficient in Linux OS, with strong troubleshooting abilities in Linux environments.

. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
