Design, implement, and manage API Gateway solutions using IBM API Connect v10, IBM Datapower.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate API publishing tasks using CI/CD tools such as GitHub.
Conduct installation, patching, and upgrades of IBM API Connect v10, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Provide support for API Gateway migration projects, leveraging best practices and industry standards.
Monitor and troubleshoot API Gateway performance and reliability in on-prem, cloud environments, particularly on AWS EKS.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of API Gateway configurations, processes, and best practices.
Participate in weekend support for patching, upgrades, and API releases, with option to take time off in-lieu on alternate business days.
Skillset (Must have)
A degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related fields.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with API Gateways, specifically IBM API Connect v10.
Should have hands-on experience with API management in IBM API Connect v10, IBM Datapower.
Proven experience in CI/CD practices and tools, with a focus on automation in API publishing.
Strong knowledge of IBM API Connect, IBM Datapower administration, including installation and patch management.
Experience working with Cloud platforms (AWS), particularly AWS EKS, and understanding of API Gateway deployment in on-prem VM and public Cloud environments.
Should have experience working with K8s and understanding of Kubectl CLI tools.
Proficient in Linux OS, with strong troubleshooting skills in Linux environments.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Skillset (Good to have)
Knowledge of Kong API Gateway.
Prior experience in leading or supporting API Gateway migration projects.
