The Role
Based in Singapore, you will serve as a key legal business partner, providing practical and strategic legal advice to support commercial activities across the Asia Pacific region. You will work closely with regional leadership and global legal teams, ensuring legal compliance while enabling business growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Provide legal advice and guidance on commercial and operational matters across the Asia Pacific region
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including distributor, supplier, and reseller contracts
Support regional offices with legal updates, compliance matters, and regulatory requirements
Partner with Global Corporate Legal on governance, internal policies, data privacy, and licensing matters
Provide legal support to cross-functional teams including IT, HR, and Finance
Manage and coordinate with external legal counsel when required
Support management on ad-hoc legal, compliance, and strategic initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification
Approximately 5 years of relevant legal experience gained in a reputable law firm and/or in-house environment
Prior in-house legal experience will be an advantage
Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
Excellent written and spoken English and Mandarin (required to review Mandarin contracts and liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders)
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Commercially astute with the ability to balance business partnership and governance responsibilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a regional environment
Open to occasional travel within Asia
