As an APAC Branches Operations Project and Governance Lead - Vice President within Digital and Platform Services, you lead governance initiatives and strategic projects across branch operations. You partner with stakeholders to assess risks, engineer effective solutions, and execute projects that improve risk profile and efficiency. You champion a culture of continuous improvement, using data, analytics, and digital tools to inform decisions and deliver measurable enhancements. Together, we ensure compliant, well-controlled processes that support clients and market integrity. You will be part of a team that applies deep operational expertise and data-driven insights to strengthen processes end to end.

The APAC Branch Operations Projects and Governance team oversees the successful delivery of multiple cross-branch location projects. You will formulate strategic projects that achieve efficient operations processing and consistent approaches across nine locations within the APAC Branch organization. You will work closely with the Branch Operations manager and the Digital and Platform Services Change team to deliver results and drive operational excellence.

Job responsibilities

  • Manage a cross-branch, multi-year operations project and governance team
  • Collaborate with program leads and operations teams to understand challenges and design technical solutions using innovative tools and artificial intelligence models
  • Execute and deliver efficiency savings through successful project implementation, overseeing return on investment tracking and ensuring project outcomes meet strategic and financial objectives
  • Lead a team, providing guidance and ensuring high-quality delivery
  • Design effective solutions by quickly understanding complex market products, operational processes, and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure all innovation use cases adhere to regulatory requirements, technology lifecycle development, and governance standards, maintaining a strong control mindset
  • Provide independent challenge and articulate risk, issues, and impact-weighted solutions to stakeholders
  • Drive implementation of process improvement automations and strategic initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and risk reduction
  • Champion the use of data analytics and digital tools to monitor performance and inform decisions
  • Prepare and deliver concise updates for senior management and external stakeholders
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability across operations

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum ten years of experience in financial services with a background in operations, project management, operations controls, consulting, or operational risk management
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities, including leading large-scale transformation or enterprise-wide change management projects, managing multiple initiatives, and providing timely updates through completion.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience developing high-performance teams
  • Ability to analyze, question, and challenge end-to-end operations processes and recommend enhanced control methods
  • Excellent problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels, including senior executives and external partners
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment
  • Result-driven mentality amidst time pressure

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong knowledge of market products and understanding of front-to-back operations processes
  • Advanced proficiency in data analytics and automation tools, including Alteryx, Tableau, Python, Visual Basic for Applications, and Structured Query Language
