Professional Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Systems & Projects Analyst to support finance-related change initiatives across Singlife's Singapore businesses. The role involves providing transactional-level accounting expertise for systems implementation, product development, and process improvements. Success will be measured by accuracy, timeliness, collaboration, and initiative in understanding policy admin systems. Strong double-entry accounting knowledge, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential. The analyst will also ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and support UAT and cross-functional projects.
Responsibilities
- Support finance-related change initiatives, including system implementations, product launches, business projects, and process improvements across Singlife's Singapore businesses.
- Provide transactional-level accounting expertise to assess impacts on financial reporting, processes, and systems, including areas such as premiums, commissions, payments, and tax.
- Assist in reviewing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new accounting entries across multiple policy administration systems.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen controls within finance and policy administration systems.
- Stay updated on financial reporting standards, tax, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and provide technical support to business, IT, and delivery teams.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CA/CPA/ACCA qualification preferred (or currently pursuing).
- Experience: 25 years of hands-on accounting and finance experience with a strong foundation in double-entry accounting and internal controls.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a drive for process improvement.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Oracle and AS400 systems; good understanding of insurance products and their financial implications.
