Position Overview

Agility Coaches at Autodesk partner with leaders and teams across engineering, product, design, data, and program functions to strengthen how work is planned, delivered, and continuously improved.Working withDirector of Agile Engineering Transformation, you will act as a trusted advisor to directors, managers, and team leaders. You will help teams apply agile principles in practical, context-awareways, focusingon outcomes and sustainable improvement rather than rigid adherence to frameworks.This role works across multiple scrum teams and cross-functional groups to improve delivery effectiveness, strengthen operating models, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Responsibilities

Coach teams and leaders

  • Coach engineering, product, design, and program teams in applying agile principles and practices that improve delivery outcomes

  • Partner with directors, managers, and team leaders to strengthen agile leadership and team effectiveness

  • Mentor Scrum Masters, delivery leads, and team facilitators to improve facilitation, planning, and team health

Improve operating models and delivery effectiveness

  • Work across scrum teams and cross-functional squads to strengthen planning, prioritization, and execution

  • Help teams clarify roles, responsibilities, and decision-making boundaries

  • Identifysystemic delivery challenges and partner with leaders to drive improvements

Drive data-informed continuous improvement

  • Use delivery metrics, artifact quality, and observational insights toidentifyroot causesimpactingteam performance

  • Guide teams in interpreting signals from their data to support informed decision-making

  • Facilitate retrospectives, learning loops, and improvement experiments that enable teams to evolve their ways of working

Support planning and alignment

  • Partner with teams early in quarterly and longer-term planning cycles to align priorities and improve planning quality

  • Help surface cross-team dependencies and delivery risks

  • Support clear, actionable communication of delivery progress and status

Enable cross-functional collaboration

  • Strengthen collaboration between engineering, product, design, and business stakeholders

  • Bridge differences in language, expectations, and processes across teams

  • Reinforce shared accountability for outcomes across functions

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in software delivery, product development, or technology program management

  • 3-5+ years of experience coaching agile teams or leading agile transformations

  • Experience working with agile frameworks and practices such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean

  • Experience coaching multiple teams within complex engineering environments

  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder-influence skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agile coaching certifications (LeadingSAFe(SA),SAFeAdvanced Scrum Master (SASM),SAFeProgram Consultant (SPC))

  • Experience working in product-driven organizations with cross-functional teams

  • Experience using delivery metrics and data to guide improvement

  • Background in software engineering, product management, or program management
