Responsibilities
. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar administrative or purchasing role, preferably within the construction industry
. Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritise and manage competing demands
. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders
. A team player with a proactive and adaptable approach
. Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions.
. Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors from China.
. Manage and administer supplier contracts from China, including renewals and renegotiations.
. Liaise with operations and warehouse teams on material requirements, inventory checks, and inspections.
. Track and monitor purchase requests, shipments, and deliveries to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
. Verify procurement documents such as POs, DOs, and invoices, and coordinate with Finance on payments.
. Maintain accurate records of purchases, costs, delivery schedules, and supplier performance.
. Identify alternative materials or suppliers when required.
Requirements
. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in Microsoft Excel.
. Proficient in both English and Chinese as the incumbent is required to be able to place orders on Chinese webpages and understand Chinese invoices.
. Excellent negotiation skills, great interpersonal skill, independent, organized with positive work attitude.
. Strong analytical skill.
. Highly organized and has excellent time management skills.
. Any education background or work experience in procurement or business management will be an added advantage.
. Any experience in the construction industry will be an added advantage as well.
