Job Description

Job Summary

Ensure the accuracy and timely settlement of shipments for Vending and DSD (Direct to Sales Delivery) to recognized reliable sales and revenue including analysis and reconciliation of load and cash variances in a daily basis. This includes reconciling payments, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining records of transactions, and assisting with resolving any discrepancies.

Job Responsibilities

1.Ensure Compliance:

  • Adhere to settlement policies and controls to maintain accuracy and integrity in financial transactions.

2.Document Verification:

  • Verify that all returned documents are complete with necessary attachments and in order.
  • Follow up, investigate, and resolve any discrepancies before updating the system.

3.Timely Processing:

  • Process all loads in the BASIS - SM Module in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all routes that are ready for settlement are settled within the same day.

4.Coordination and Follow-Up:

  • Coordinate and follow up with distribution (warehouse, drivers, and contractors) and sales teams for -Routes not returning on time
    Missing documents (e.g., load documents not received from logistics, invoices not attached to loads, cash receipts not attached, credit notes for returns not attached, etc.)
    Documents not in order or with errors (e.g., unsigned invoices, mixed-up documents from various loads, manually canceled invoices, quantities not tallying, total quantities taken out and loaded not agreeing with returned documents, etc.)
    Non-collection from cash customers
    Driver acceptance of post-dated cheques from cash customers
    Documents wrongly matched

Job Requirements

  • Minimum GCE O Level, Certificate/Diploma in Finance, Economics or related discipline.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of accounting/financial management experience.
  • Ability to interact with all personnel including from other department.
  • Good and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office.
  • To be able to work in shifts 3 weeks at 10.45 AM - 8.00 PM and 1 week at 8.15 AM - 5.30 PM.
  • Able to work in Tuas, Singapore.
