Job Summary

Managed accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with audit requirements and internal control standards, strengthening financial integrity and improving operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Managed accounting functions, including General Ledger and bank reconciliations, while supporting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities to ensure accurate and timely payment and receipt.
Prepare monthly closing schedules, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions and balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare/Review GST schedules and submissions in compliance with Singapore statutory requirements
Assist with annual audits by preparing financial schedules, reconciliations, supporting documents and responding to audit queries to facilitate smooth audit processes
Maintain accounting records in accordance with company policies, accounting standards and internal controls to ensure compliance and data integrity
Collaborate effectively with operations and project teams to support financial and administrative functions
Manage multiple deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment to meet business needs
Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned by the Finance Manager

Required competencies and certifications

Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
Minimum 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in offshore oil & gas, engineering or construction industries
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/SAP ERP systems
Strong knowledge of Singapore GST and basic statutory requirements
Demonstrated attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams
