Job Summary
You will manage the full set of accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards while delivering timely financial reporting. For senior roles, you will lead junior staff, enhance finance processes, and provide financial analysis to support strategic management decisions.
Responsibilities
- Manage full set of accounts including cash flow, bank reconciliations, GST filing, and petty cash to maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepayments, provisions, and maintain recurring journals for subsidiaries to ensure completeness of accounting data.
- Perform monthly and yearly accounts closing within stipulated deadlines to support timely financial reporting.
- Handle monthly intercompany reinvoicing and reconcile intercompany accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency across entities.
- Submit monthly financial reports for consolidation to support group-level financial analysis.
- Assist in maintaining subsidiary books in compliance with Accounting Standards to uphold regulatory and internal standards.
- Prepare audit schedules and assist in year-end audit preparations, tax computations, and submission of statutory obligations to ensure compliance and readiness.
- Liaise with banks on operational banking matters and participate in audit procedures to facilitate smooth financial operations.
- Manage year-end stock take activities to verify inventory accuracy.
- For senior roles:
- Guide and train junior executives on financial procedures and systems to build team capability.
- Review and recommend finance policies and work processes to drive continuous improvement in finance operations.
- Support strategic planning through participation in budgeting and forecasting activities to inform business decisions.
- Extract and analyze financial data using relevant accounting information systems or software to provide actionable insights for management.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience with MS Dynamics Navision to efficiently manage accounting processes.
- Prior working experience in the construction industry to understand industry-specific accounting requirements.
- Knowledge of project cost accounting to support accurate project financial management.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate within teams and with stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and meticulous approach to ensure accuracy in financial data.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player to contribute to team success.
