About the role
We are seeking a diligent and organised Accounts Assistant to join the finance team . This full-time role will be based in our offices near the Tai Seng area. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of our accounting and financial operations.
What you'll be doing
- Ensure invoices from suppliers/petty cash claim are recorded accurately and timely into the financial system
- Process payment for suppliers invoices in accordance with Company policies and procedures
- Follow up with suppliers and internal departments on queries and discrepancies
- Liaise with suppliers on payment matters
- Prepare entries for AP closing and assist with month-end closing
- Reconciliation of AP sub-ledger accounts and monthly vendor statement of accounts
- Assist in quarterly GST returns
- Prepare monthly/year end Payables schedules
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of regular and supplemental monthly payroll for all workers
- Arrange the issuance of pay checks or electronic transfers to bank account for salary payment
- Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
- Preparing of bank reconciliationDocuments filling and any other duties assigned by superior
What we're looking for
- Fresh applicants are welcome to apply training will be provided. Candidates who possess relevant experience will have an advantage.
- GCE O Level and above or a relevant accounting or finance qualification, such as a Certificate of LCCI, CAT, or an ITE diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with numbers
- Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, proactive attitude
