Introduction: Organizational Details

Barilla Singapore seeks to recruit the next Accounting, Treasury and Credit Management Associate Manager.

Reporting to the F&A Director APAC. The position is based in Singapore.

Job Purpose

The Associate Manager will oversee Accounting, Treasury, and Credit Management functions in alignment with the Group's ethical code of conduct and accounting policies. This role ensures full compliance with all processes and procedures for recording and verifying revenues, expenses, assets, and liabilities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Review the monthly management accounts and financial statements; manage the monthly inventory revaluation.
  • Monitor and prepare cash forecast reports to ensure the efficiency of cash management for Barilla Singapore.
  • Perform the year-end closure activities, including cut-off analysis, statutory reporting, accruals management and FX revaluation.
  • Conduct intercompany reconciliations at mid-year and year-end; manage closing and reopening activities for the new financial year.
  • Maintain and update the customer database; ensure the customer ledger reflects accurate due dates and payment statuses.
  • Handle external audits, annual corporate tax returns, quarterly GST returns, and withholding tax filings for interest and royalty payments.
  • Liaise with local banks and credit brokers regarding payment queries and credit limit negotiations
  • Generate Statements of Account and collaborate with the commercial team to support timely payment collection
  • Manage internal audits and the full set of accounts; provide accounting support and advice to the wider team.
  • Prepare quarterly credit reports (DSO, overdue status, significant issues) for the central team
  • Prepare weekly due lists for the commercial team and management.
  • Participating in the company Board of Directors meeting

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in similar roles.
  • Experience in SAP is preferred.
  • Proven experience in matrix organizations, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and collaborate with regional leadership.
  • Highly self-motivated, proactive, and committed to continuous learning.
  • Strong sense of urgency and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate and resolve challenges effectively.
  • Strong team player with outstanding interpersonal skills, thriving in collaborative environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with a diverse range of stakeholders.
