We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Executive to join our team in the retail industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the full set of accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL). This role requires strong analytical skills, accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle full set of accounts, including AP, AR, and GL functions.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage bank reconciliations, payment processing, and cash flow monitoring.
- Oversee supplier invoices, credit notes, and ensure timely payments.
- Monitor customer accounts, issue invoices, and follow up on collections.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries.
- Perform the monthly bank reconciliations
- Liaise with the merchants on payment type set up.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and other external parties during audits and reporting periods.
- Other duties as assigned, as necessary
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 23 years of relevant experience, preferably in the retail or consumer services
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software with SAP strongly preferred and MS Excel and ERP such as Dynamics365.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Good team player.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in retail accounting processes and inventory management.
- Familiarity with GST/SST regulations and local tax compliance for multiple regions.
