We are currently working with a global REIT platform with assets across multiple regions. They are looking for an Accounting Specialist to support their finance team and the role will offer broad, hands-on exposure across core accounting, financial reporting, tax, payments, treasury, audit, and compliance-related activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare monthly and quarterly standalone financial statements for relevant entities
- Support group-level and consolidated financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and applicable local accounting standards
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes, including schedules, analysis, and reconciliations
- Coordinate with external auditors and support audit planning, fieldwork, and audit queries
- Maintain general ledger, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
Tax
- Support the preparation and review of corporate income tax, withholding tax, and indirect tax filings
- Liaise with external tax advisors across jurisdictions as required
- Assist in responding to tax-related queries, reviews, and audits
- Support tax data collection and documentation for compliance and reporting purposes
Payments & Treasury Operations
- Process vendor payments, expense claims, and other operational disbursements in a timely and accurate manner
- Prepare payment runs, supporting documentation, and approval materials
- Support bank reconciliations, cash monitoring, and basic treasury-related activities
- Assist with maintaining banking documentation and payment controls
Compliance, Controls & Other Responsibilities
- Support preparation of financial information for regulatory, investor, and internal reporting
- Assist in maintaining internal controls, finance policies, and process documentation
- Support implementation of process improvements and system enhancements
- Contribute to ad-hoc finance projects and cross-functional initiatives as required
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) preferred
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in accounting, audit, or finance roles
- (experience within audit firms, real estate, fund management, or investment platforms is advantageous)
- Working knowledge of financial reporting, consolidation principles, and tax fundamentals
- Experience working with accounting systems and strong proficiency in Excel
