Core responsibilities
- Financial Record Management: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including managing accounts payable and receivable, and processing invoices and payments.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Analyze financial data, prepare financial statements, and present reports to management for decision-making.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets for the organization.
- Compliance and Auditing: Ensure all financial activities comply with accounting principles, laws, and regulations. Assist with internal and external audits.
- Transaction Review: Review and validate financial transactions, and perform checks to prevent fraud.
- Other Duties: Perform general accounting tasks, prepare tax returns, and collaborate with other departments and external auditors.
Required skills and qualifications
- Education: A degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is typically required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
