A commodities firm is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their Singapore office.

Your new role

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you&aposll play a pivotal role in overseeing our accounting functions, ensuring compliance, driving process improvements, and partnering with stakeholders to deliver insightful financial reporting and analysis. You&aposll lead a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Financial Reporting: Oversee preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and regulatory filings.
Accounting Operations: Manage day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with accounting standards (SFRS, IFRS), regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
Process Improvement: Drive efficiencies and improvements in accounting processes and systems.
Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders, finance team, and external auditors for effective financial management.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decisions.

What you&aposll need to succeed

You will require a Degree in Accountancy or Finance and have minimally 8 to 12 years of experience in accounting in industries like commodities or shipping. You are technically competent and have strong stakeholder management skills.
