Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Accountant to support our Financial Shared Service Centre (FSSC) in managing the organization's accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate is independent, meticulous, and capable of handling full sets of accounts in a dynamic service environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle full sets of accounts including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), and bank reconciliations.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate and timely recording of business transactions.
- Perform monthly and year-end closing, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare financial reports and schedules for management review.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Manage invoices, monitor collections, and manage accounts receivable aging.
- Process vendor invoices, payment runs, and staff reimbursement claims in a timely manner.
- Prepare and submit GST returns and related schedules.
- Process general ledger entries and ensure transactions are properly supported by relevant documentation (e.g., invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, journals).
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and relevant authorities on audit, tax, and statutory matters, when necessary.
- Support the Financial Shared Service Centre functions.
- Assist in ad-hoc assignments/projects/duties as assigned by superiors.
Requirements
- Minimum Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant discipline.
- Able to perform full set of accounts independently.
- Able to process documentation in both English and Mandarin to communicate effectively.
- Familiar with accounting systems such as SAP/SAGE/SAP Concur. Knowledge of Cognos is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel and Word skills.
- Strong attention to detail, meticulous, and a team player with the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively at all levels.
- Familiar with Singapore accounting standards, GST regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Responsible, able to work independently and under tight deadlines.
- Team player with positive attitude
- Able to start immediately or within short notice
