Our company is engaged in construction in various sites throughout Singapore. We are looking for a proactive individual able to adopt, engage in an SME environment, and reporting directly to the directors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Classify bills/expenses to respective projects
- Prepares payment vouchers for cheque payment or bank transfer payments
- Prepares cheques, arrange for signatures and disbursement approval
- Bank balance monitoring
- Monitors GIRO payments
- To request for interbank transfers to make sure enough funds are avaible in assigned bank accounts
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors regarding payment or claim inquiries
- Compiles backcharges cost and prepares backcharges invoices for subcontractors monthly
- Checking of petty cash claims and preparation of petty cash schedule expense analysis per projects
- Experienced in using Quickbooks Desktop Pro
- Proactive in handling Account Payable queries (timely and efficient)
- Maintains payment vouchers file complete with required attachments (e.g. Invoice, D.O. , Claim Certifications)
- Maintains Revenue Invoices (make sure complete)
- Maintains Receipt Files
- Can work independently without constant supervision
- Able to work effectively under pressure
- Ad hoc duties as required by management
PREFERABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE (preferable but not required)
- Experienced in filing Tax IAS Submission - IR8A
- Experienced in Tax Clearance - IR21 Submission
- Experienced in Quarterly Filing of GST
- Can effectively liaise with external auditors and tax agent
- Able to prepare full set of accounts for auditors (e.g. Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, Profit or Loss, Fixed Asset depreciation, PnL per projects)
- Experienced in forecasting, budgeting and construction accouting
- The candidate shall take charge of the full accounting of the company. Salary shall be based on the amount of duties and responsibilities that the candidate will be able to handle responsibly and effectively.
