The principal activities of the Company are accounting, bookkeeping, corporate secretarial, corporate restructuring, corporate advisory, merger & acquisition, pre-ipo preparation work, valuation and tax compliance work.
Job Summary
You will manage full sets of accounts and month-end closing for a diverse portfolio of clients, lead and supervise junior accounting teams, and deliver accurate financial statements and consolidated group accounts. You will advise clients on finance operations and accounting treatments, resolve complex accounting issues, and drive automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage full sets of accounts for a portfolio of clients independently or with assistant support to ensure accurate financial records
- Execute month-end closing processes for multiple companies to meet reporting deadlines
- Review monthly management accounts and reporting packages to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Lead and supervise junior accountants and executives in handling day-to-day outsourced finance functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processing
- Consolidate simple to complex group accounts to provide comprehensive financial overviews
- Compile financial statements in accordance with regulatory standards and client requirements
- Analyze and resolve complex accounting issues to maintain financial integrity
- Advise clients on finance operations, accounting systems, accounting treatments, and reporting to optimize financial processes
- Participate in or lead automation projects to improve accounting workflows and increase efficiency
- Undertake ad-hoc assignments as required to support business needs and client engagements
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum of 4 years relevant accounting experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications to support financial reporting and analysis
- Experience or background in IT, especially with modern automation tools, to contribute to digital transformation initiatives
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives
- Demonstrated integrity and honesty in managing sensitive financial information
- Clear thinking, meticulous attention to detail, good time management, resourcefulness, proactivity, and commitment to delivering quality results
