Accountant

Our client, a global MNC in the energy and commodities sector, is looking for an Accountant(fixed-term contract) to join their Finance team. This role will cover a combination of accounting, reporting, tax and FP&A activities, supporting the business across multiple entities and markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage monthly and quarterly accounting and reporting activities
• Support group and management reporting, including variance analysis
• Prepare financial reports and support statutory audit requirements
• Handle tax and regulatory reporting matters
• Support day-to-day finance activities and business operations
• Prepare and analyse financial performance against budget and forecast
• Review CAPEX and OPEX across different business units
• Support budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning
• Analyse cost drivers and provide insights into business performance
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and business partners on finance-related matters
• Support ad-hoc finance projects and process improvements

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent professional qualification
• 5+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience, preferably within an MNC environment
• Strong experience in group consolidation and financial reporting is required
• Prior experience supporting multiple entities or markets would be advantageous
• Big 4 experience would be a strong advantage
• Good knowledge of IFRS and local accounting/tax requirements
• Experience with ERP systems and reporting/analytics tools
• Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail
• Able to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
