Job Description - Accident Claims cum Sales Officer
The Accident Claims cum Sales Officer is responsible for managing vehicle accident claims processes while actively promoting and selling the company's products and services. This role requires strong customer service skills, knowledge of motor insurance/claims, and the ability to drive sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities / Job Scope
Accident & Claims Handling
- Attend to walk-in, call-in, or referred customers involved in accidents.
- Assist customers with accident reporting, documentation, and claims submission.
- Liaise with insurers, surveyors, and workshops on claim approvals and updates.
- Verify accident details, prepare necessary reports, and ensure compliance with insurance requirements.
- Track claim progress and follow up with customers until closure.
- Handle dispute resolutions and escalate complex cases where necessary.
Sales & Business Development
- Promote and cross-sell company's services (e.g., vehicle repairs, car leasing, insurance renewal).
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
- Develop new leads from accident cases and convert them into sales opportunities.
- Meet monthly sales and referral targets set by management.
Customer Service & Support
- Provide professional advice to customers on claims, insurance policies, and repair options.
- Manage customer expectations and ensure high service satisfaction.
- Maintain proper documentation and update records in CRM / internal system.
Administration & Reporting
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on claims and sales performance.
- Ensure all claims and sales activities comply with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Work closely with workshop, insurance partners, and sales teams to streamline processes.
Requirements / Qualifications
- At least O/A Level, Diploma, or equivalent qualification (Insurance/Automotive background advantageous).
- Prior experience in motor accident claims, insurance sales, or automotive industry preferred.
- Good knowledge of insurance claim procedures and motor industry practices.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Sales-driven with ability to work under targets.
- Proficient in MS Office and claims management systems.
