Responsibilities for Staff Nurse [Psychiatric Ward]:

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care based on patients clinical needs, medical instructions, and hospital policies.
Deliver safe, compassionate, and patient-centred mental health nursing care.
Provide health education, guidance, and emotional support to patients and their families.
Ensure compliance with nursing standards, hospital policies, infection prevention, and patient safety practices.
Maintain accurate documentation and promptly communicate patients condition, treatment, and progress to the Nurse Manager, Senior Nurse Manager, and attending doctor.
Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and supportive care environment.
Guide and support junior nursing staff and newly joined nurses.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for Staff Nurse [Psychiatric Ward]:

Diploma or Degree in Nursing with a valid Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) licence.
Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Mental Health) is an advantage.
Previous experience in an acute care hospital, particularly in a psychiatric or mental health setting, is preferred but not essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage patients empathetically.
Able to remain calm and professional in a dynamic clinical environment.
Demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to patient care.
Passionate about developing a career in mental health nursing.
Able to work rotating 3-shift schedules.
