Job Summary

You will maintain mechanical equipment and facilities in a safe environment, perform planned and unplanned maintenance, assist contractor oversight, and participate in technical and safety activities.

Responsibilities

Maintain mechanical equipment and facilities and to aid in the manufacturing of all company products in a safe and sanitary work environment
Responsible for the completion of all planned or unplanned mechanical maintenance and repair activities on a wide range of equipment (e.g. pumps, tank, piping, valves) as assigned
Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors
Fault-finding and repair of plant, systems and equipment
Participates in Risk Assessments as part of Permit to Work preparation
Interprets technical drawings and prepares reports on work done
Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined
Perform minor piping fabrication, modification
Maintain all machine shop tools and equipment such as, and not limited to, welding set, working tooling, lifting gear, as required
Support equipment inspection with vendor representative on tanks, column, pipelines and centrifuge
Rebuilding valves, pumps, gearboxes and drives
Perform predictive maintenance activities e.g. vibration monitoring, infra-red thermography & etc
Complete all required in house training in a timely manner
Adhere and compliant with SHE rules
Liaise with stakeholders to ensure proper implementation of the works and/or services

All other duties and activities as directed by Supervisor

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Possess at least a NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, or equivalent
Class 3 driving license is an advantage but not essential
Ability to work 44 hours per week
Experience in equipment maintenance within water, wastewater treatment, or chemical process industries is highly preferred
