Job Summary

Provide mentoring and behavioural support to at-risk youths aged 12-18, managing discipline and emotional challenges to promote positive student engagement and successful reintegration.

Responsibilities

Mentor and guide at-risk students facing attendance, behavioural, and emotional challenges to improve their school engagement
Manage student discipline by conducting school patrols, investigations, detention, and reflection sessions to maintain a safe learning environment
Facilitate individual and group activities that develop emotional regulation, conflict resolution, and positive behaviour skills
Support students returning from suspension or prolonged absence by collaborating with teachers to implement tailored interventions
Maintain detailed student case records, monitor progress, and prepare reports on engagement and intervention outcomes

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Youth Work, or related Social Science field preferred
At least 3 years of experience working with youths aged 12-18 in schools, residential homes, or community centres
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
Relevant youth support certifications preferred
Strong communication, mentoring, conflict-resolution, and interpersonal skills
Patient, compassionate, and able to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally
