About the Role

Our Client, a primary school in Ang Mo Kio, is looking for a dedicated and empathetic Youth Worker to support student development and well-being.

This role focuses on engaging students through structured programmes, providing socio-emotional support, and working closely with school stakeholders to foster a safe and positive learning environment.

This is a contract role from 4 May 2026 to 31 December 2026, aligned with the school calendar.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate student engagement programmes and activities
  • Provide mentoring and socio-emotional support to identified students
  • Conduct student outreach and engagement, including building rapport and trust
  • Support students in areas such as behaviour management, attendance, and well-being
  • Monitor student progress and maintain proper documentation and reporting
  • Work closely with school staff, teachers, and stakeholders to support intervention plans
  • Assist in the implementation of school-based programmes and initiatives
  • Manage programme logistics, including inventory tracking and materials preparation
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the school

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma in Youth Work, Social Work, Psychology, Education, or related fields
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience working with children or youths
  • Experience in school-based programmes or community work is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage students effectively
  • Able to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy
  • Good organisational and administrative skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday (school hours)
  • Schedule aligned with school term calendar
  • Required to work on selected school holiday periods based on programme needs

Contract Duration

  • 4 May 2026 - 31 December 2026
